Student Led Conferences

My mum came to room 8 yesterday it was excited   I  was  very pleased to share my learning. My favourite things were my Pelican writing, my helicopter and my kite flying and picture. my mum was happy to listen to me reading and showing all my learning. My goal is to listen  on the mat and when the teacher  leaves me to write I will carry on by myself.                    

Fractions

These are fractions. There are half shapes (pentagon and heart shapes) and 2 quarters (the kite) and the star is a whole.

Poetry Cafe

I read out my own poem at the poetry cafe. I felt excited to speak in front of an audience. Here is my poem

Christmas day
excited to see
if there was a  present
waiting for me                                                                                                                                               I ran into my bedroom                                                              
I rushed to find a present
just for me
Lollies.

My apple poem

An apple can taste very nice.

Try a bite or a slice.

If its red or if  its green,It will taste good if its clean.

My grandma says an apple a day

always keep the doctors away.  

imagination

Imagination is ice-cream trees, or lolly trees  or love heart with wings.  It is not true, it is fantasy, it is funny.

In my imagination poster I have drawn lots of trees, and love hearts with wings.
